Draga Bob, reteau Linkedin, m-a invitat pe mine de mai multe ori sa iau legatura cu tine; de fiecare data am ezitat avand in vedere diferentele profesionale dintre noi...., dar in sinea mea gandeamm altfel, adica simteam ceva comun in gandirea cunoscuta a ta si eu personal, un entuziast admirator al lui Michael Phelps si Bob Bowman,
Asa ca de data aceasta eu incerc sa iau legatura si, imi pare rau de tine... ve-i avea mult de muncit.., glumesc; oricare va fi reactia ta fata de cele ce urmeaza, te asigur de admiratia mea pentru voi...

 de multa vremea eu doresc sa pot comunica cu tine. Eu am tot amanat aceasta intalnire virtuala din cauza ca vorbesc slab, sarac limba engleza [eu si acum folosesc Google translate...]; Eu nu stiu cum sa incep, eu am impresia ca, uneori, tu si eu, amandoi, 'vorbim cam aceasi limba'.....
Iata povestea mea [ pe scurt, ea provinde din CV-ul meu pe care eu doresc sa-l atashez pentru ca tu sa ma poti cunoaste mai bine pe mine]...., deci:
-          in anii '80, cand eu eram antrenor federal in tara mea [Romania], eu fiind 'fortat' de aparitia acestei unei mode sportive, numita in presa acelor timpuri  'moda copiilor minune la inot', am cautat o alternativa atragatoare de angrenarea a acestor copii, fara a fi condusi, obligati, fortati de timpuriu, la 'marea performanta'.
Astfel eu am formulat ceea ce s-a numit, aici in Romania, Conceptul BEST [ acronimul expresiei 'the Biomechanical Effciency Swimmming Test']; conceptul a fost publicat in revista noastra de specialitate numita 'EFS, nr.2/ 1983’,
Eu incerc , pe scurt, a ti-l prezenta :
Conceptul provine din intelepciunea unui antic aforism ["festina lente”, Suetonius], care in cazul inotului putea capata o intelegere similara si chiar autentica = "grabeste-te .....incet".
Asta insemna ca cel care dorea sa concureze gandindu-se la acest slogan [ incearca sa te grabesti... dar vaslind mai rar] trebuia sa aibe obligatoriu, cea mai buna, cea mai corecta si cea mai eficienta tehnica de inot pentru a inota bine -cat mai repede dar cu cat mai putine vasliri.
Formula este foarte simpla, este un simplu calcul mental:* ‘aduni numarul de secunde realizat pe o distanta data... cu numarul de vasliri’ si valoarea rezultata o scazi dintr-o valoare permanenta, constanta ‘ {{BEST = PIG – (Time + Stroke)}..., de obicei pe 50m !
**[PIG este o valoare constanta, ea  nu reprezinta altceva decat esenta biotipului fiecarui inotator, a carei valoare poate fi calculata, verificata, anual, ea este deci o constanta, personala - un Indice personal de alunecare, pe scurt PIG].
PIG este necesar deci pentru a arspunde la cerinta de personalizare a fiecarui  inotator, deaorece exista diferite tipuri de effcienta cauzate si de biotipuri diferite ale fiecarui inotator [PIG poate fi considerat a fi constant + unic, personal si eu propuneam sa fie verificat anual]
***[De ex.: PIG-ul imi permitea mie, la concurs,  sa aleg ‘inotatori egali’, cu valori apropiate, pentru a concura  ‘de la egal – la egal’ in perfect spirit de ‘faire-play’.
 [**** Calculul PIG - se face dupa formula: din Lungimea totala a unui inotator intins in pozitie de inot, in pozitia intinsa de plutire ventrala...., scad suma realizata daca adun numarul de kilograme /Kg. plus circumferinta sub axilara [masurata in cm., ca la croitor/Q], deci =  PIG = L –(Kg.+Q) / verificata anual !
In anii aceia, celor mai multi antrenori li s-a parut o ideia extravaganta, din domeniul SF, si aveau dreptate - nimeni nu credea ca numarul de miscari poate fi sigur garantat; a numara mental, ‘ceva’, este un proces subiectiv iar formula BEST presupunea un calcul matematic [ este adevart ca era simplu dar se baza pe cifre exacte, neshimbate].
In ‘disperare de cauza’..., am trimis emailuri [mai ales atunci cand a aparut Internetul...] la TOTI cei care avea ceva comun cu inotul; a fost o perioada in care ma simteam caraghios si chiar eu radeam de mine....
Dar deoadata, am simtit, ca ‘ceva se misca’; mai ales dupa ce am cititi lucrarea, cartea lui Emmmet Hines (1995), Dick Hannulla (1995) si, mai ales, a lui  Ernest Maglischo (1999); ‘lumea inotului’ incepea sa ia in  seama, independent de mine,  ceea ce eu preconizasem cu cca 15-20 inainte, si asta m-a bucurat foarte mult .
Dar cea mai mare surpriza a fost ziua cand un elev de-al meu, un ing. IT de clasa..., mi-a adus linkul lui PoolMate/Swimovate, un produs care realiza obiectiv, exact ceea ce mie mi se parea SF in anii ’80.
Imediat am cumparat un asemenea produs si, experimentandu-l, am tot comunicat cu Doamna Lisa Irlam/pdg la Swimnovate, relatandu-i absoluta nevoie ca PoolMate sa poate inregistra, separat, numarul de strokes, separat la fiecare oprire [cazul antrenamentului cu intervale]. Si iata ca Lisa, probabil, a tinut cont de sugestiile mele iar astazi Swimovate poate oferi o gama de 4-5 noi produse PollMate care sunt pe masura asteptarilor fiecaruia antrenor, a fiecarui sportiv inotator.
Inchei, evocand, interviul oferit de tine ‘Bob Bowman si Michael Phelps’ in care, prezentati, pe capitole, pregatirea marelui tau sportiv. Ma refer la partea numita ‘Stroke and Time’ si acest capitol m-a facut sa cred ca, iata, noi doi, avem ‘ceva’ in comun, in gandirea noastra despre inot. Este cert ca tu nu-i permiti lui ichael sa inoate la intamplare ci cu un tempo exact si perfectibil pentru a putea accelera, nu din cresterea numarului de avsliri ci din cresterea eficientei tehnice, a Fortei, la fiecare noua vaslire.
Te rog sa ma ierti ca am fost asa de analitic si poate greu de inteles... dar, pentru mine, Conceptul BEST si tot ce se leaga de el, este ‘evrika’ vietii mele si asa cum Arhimede a iesit din cada de baie si a alergat gol-pusca strigand ‘evrika’ si eu as iesi ca el, strigand “Bob este prietenul meu...!”

The need to test the efficiency of the swimmer’s movements was generated by the endeavour (1970-1980) of our coaches to find the most appropriate methodical way ın order to form young swimmers, an endeavour which started from these undoubted facts:
1. the spectacular rising of “wonder children” because of the speculations upon the “early specialization” and forced training, especially at swimming.
2. the usage of a selection base strictly on de facto performance, without taking into consideration the future modifications of the biological motor and functional balance.
3. the early rejection from the selection arena of other children and the massive loss of new elements.
4. the deviation from the performance prognosis of “wonder children” when they became adults. The deviation was negative – “wonder children” did not confirm!
Evidently, between 1970-80 it has been worked in “detriment” and some of the coaches even asked that children swimming training should contain “beauty” contest, something hard to be accepted.
As a federal coach (1982) I have tried to redirect the methodological content of children training:
I wanted a greater mass of children to be interested in sports swimming,
I wanted them to swim in the most correct way,
I wanted all these without forcing them;
By time, this new concept came up; he was published oficially began from 1983, in Revists / Magasine E.F.S. [1983/3, 1987/2] or other publications [ see bibliography].
At a special moment, apart from the beauty contests proposed by the coaches, I start looking for objective, mathematical information; in everyone’s conscience the chronometer is an undoubted source of information; but performance has some other elements too: tempo, technique and organism function, etc.
From all of these the easiest to control is the tempo, that is the number of movements per space or time unit. With these 2 elements (chronometer and tempo) one could have done larger evaluations, because you can not win with a hard (+ tiring) tempo and when the ones with moderate tempos won, this was reached by a perfect technique. This is why they were efficient!
Slow tempo/high speed – this is what we need for a future athlete
Under these circumstances a new concept has shown up and by time it got bigger (it is applicable not only to beginners but to other categories also, especially “Masters”) and because the acronym of the title in English was BEST I have adopted this name BEST Concept ( Biomechanical Efficiency Swimming Test )

R1/. Tehnica corecta inseamna eficienta de miscare in apa… “testarea eficientei biomecanice la inot”(BEST) se calculeaza astfel: adun ‘timpul’(‘t’) cu ‘vaslirile’(‘v’) suma lor o scad dintr-o valoare constanta (‘k’)(aleasa aleator = ‘100’) + indicele personal de alunecare (ipa). adica - { 100+ipa } – { timp + vasliri } = ...... p.best

F1/ La tehnique corecte de la nage implique l’efficience du mouvement dans l’eau.
’’Tester l’efficience / l’efficacite biomecanique dans l’eau’’ [ The Biomechanical Efficiency Swimming Test – B.E.S.T. ....] ce calcule comme suit:
- aditioner le temps (’T’) au les mouvement (par 50m) (’M’), la somme se deduit d’une valeur constante (’K’)[choisie aleatoire, par ex. = 100 point] + l’Indice Personel de Glisse (I.P.G.) c’este a dire, la formule: [100 + IPG ] – [ ’T’ + ’M’] = ... offre le meilleur resultat, (points BEST).

E1/The corect swim-technique means the efficiency of the movements in the water; it can be calculated by this way: add the number of the seconds and the number of the stroke-cicles (by 50m) and this sume will be extracted from the other constant sume provided from adition of the one constant value (K) (100) plus the Index of the personal Gliding (IPG)

Diese wird wie folgt berechnet: wir addieren die zwei Werte (Zeit und Züge); die Summe wird aus einer Konstante „k” abgezogen ( „k” wird per Zufall ausgewählt = „100”) + persönlicher Gleitindex (pgi). D.h. – { 100+pgi } – { Zeit + Züge } =....... p.best

R2/ Obiectivitatea conceptului si a formulei ‘b.e.s.t.’ rezida din urmatoarea logica: ‘adun doua marimi, (timpul / ’t’ + vaslirile / ’v’) care au sens descrescator, - dupa care, le scad din constanta {‘100’ + ‘ipa’} si obtin (facil + repede / mental way ...) valoarea prestatiei in apa’

F2/ La logique du BEST et son objectivite:
J’additionne deux valeurs, deux quantites , le temps T. et le mouvement M. (des cicles de bras – pour Libre et pour le Dos 2 bras alternative, pour Brasse et pour Papillon une cicle concomitente, seulmant), les valeur qui ont un sens (desirable...!) decroissants et apres je deduis de la valeur constante (anterieur calcule) [ ’100 + IPG’] et j’obtiens (tres facile et vite / by mental way...) la valeur de la prestation dans l’eau.

F3/ L’indice de la Glisse dans l’eau (IPG) este une valeur constante, comme un card banquare, qui le calcule annuellement:

# cu cat un corp este mai ingust (q.)
cu atat mai eficient pluteste, aluneca sau inainteaza !

F4/ L’application (calculation) annuelle du kard IPG –non peliee du sex, genne, et de l’age du suject (!), sont donnes comme une unique critere pour departager / organiser les eventuellle competitions (des series avec une real ’fraire-play’) de concurs de ’excelence tehnique de nage’ par 50m, car ce sont les criteres induits par la selection naturelle:
- plus que le corp est long .....
- plus que le corp est leger....
- plus que le corp est etroit ....
cet corp peut glisse et avance plus bien, plus efficace !

Preambul la conceptul BEST

Nevoia de a testa eficienta miscarilor inotatorului a fost generata de framantarile antrenorilor nostri (1970-80) de a gasi calea metodica cea mai indicata pentru formarea tinerilor inotatori, framantari care au pornit de la urmatoarele fapte de necontestat:
1. aparitia spectaculoasa a‚’’copiilor minune’’ datorita specularii conceptului de ’’specializare timpurie’’, fortarea pregatirii mai ales la inot.
2. aplicarea unei selectii strict legate de performanta de facto, fara a lua in consideratie viitoarele modificari ale echilibrului bio-motrico-functional.
3. respingerea de timpuriu din aria de selectie a altor copii, piederi masive de noi elemente.
4. abaterea de la prognozarea performantelor a ’’copiilor minune’’ in momentul devenirii lor adulte, abateri finale negative –’’copii minune’’ nu au confirmat !
Evident, intre anii 1970-80 s-a lucrat in ’’paguba’’ iar unii dintre antrenori au cerut chiar, ca pregatirea copiilor sa fie incununata de concursuri de ’’frumusete’’ la inot, maniera greu de acceptat.
Ajuns in functia de antrenor federal (1982) am incercat sa reorientez continutul metodic al pregatirii copiilor:
doream o masa mai mare de copii interesati de inotul sportiv,
doream ca acestia sa inoate cat mai corect,
doream toate aceste fara a-i forta;
treptat s-a conturat si acest nou concept, publicat pentru prima data incepand din 1983, in Revistele EFS [1983/3, 1987/2] sau alte publicatii oficiale.
Ca orice lucru nou, el nu a fost acceptat (nu este acceptat nici acum...) de cei mai multi antrenori iar cei care il sprijineau o faceau din motive subiective, din simpatie, fara a sti ca aplicarea noului cerea un nivel adecvat de profesionalism si mai ales de o munca migaloasa speciala
Fata de concursurile de frumusete propuse la un moment dat, de antrenori, eu am cautat date obiective, matamatice; in constiinta orisicui cronometrul reprezinta o sursa de informatii de necontestat; dar performanta are in spatele ei si alte elemente: tempoul, tehnica si functiunea organismului, s.a.m.d.
Dintre toate acestea cel mai usor de controlat este tempoul, adica numarul de miscari pe unitate de spatiu sau de timp. Cu aceste 2 elemente (cronometrul si tempoul) se putea face aprecieri mai ample, deoarecere nu toti castiga adoptand un tempo navalnic (+obositor) iar cei cu tempo mai moderat cand au castigat, intotdeauna au facut-o cu o tehnica impecabila. De aici si eficienta lor !
Tempo scazut / viteza marita – iata ce ne trebuie la un sportiv in devenire
In aceste conditii a aparut noul concept, devenit treptat mai amplu (aplicabil nu numai la incepatori ci si la alte categorii, mai ales la veteranii ’’Masters’’) iar pentru ca acronimul in engleza a titlului era BEST .... am adoptat numele – Conceptul BEST ( Biomechanical Efficiency Swimming Test )

Tehnica corecta inseamna eficienta de miscare in apa… “testarea eficientei biomecanice la inot”(BEST) se calculeaza astfel: adun ‘timpul’(‘t’) cu ‘vaslirile’(‘v’) suma lor o scad dintr-o valoare constanta (‘k’)(aleasa aleator = ‘100’) + indicele personal de alunecare (ipa). adica - { 100+ipa } – { timp + vasliri } = ...... p.best

F1/ La tehnique corecte de la nage implique l’efficience du mouvement dans l’eau.
’’Tester l’efficience / l’efficacite biomecanique dans l’eau’’ [ The Biomechanical Efficiency Swimming Test – B.E.S.T. ....] ce calcule comme suit:
- aditioner le temps (’T’) au les mouvement (par 50m) (’M’), la somme se deduit d’une valeur constante (’K’)[choisie aleatoire, par ex. = 100 point] + l’Indice Personel de Glisse (I.P.G.) c’este a dire, la formule: [100 + IPG ] – [ ’T’ + ’M’] = ... offre le meilleur resultat, (points BEST).

R2/ Obiectivitatea conceptului si a formulei ‘b.e.s.t.’ rezida din urmatoarea logica: ‘adun doua marimi, (timpul / ’t’ + vaslirile / ’v’) care au sens descrescator, - dupa care, le scad din constanta {‘100’ + ‘ipa’} si obtin (facil + repede / mental way ...) valoarea prestatiei in apa’

F2/ La logique du BEST et son objectivite:
J’additionne deux valeurs, deux quantites , le temps T. et le mouvement M. (des cicles de bras – pour Libre et pour le Dos 2 bras alternative, pour Brasse et pour Papillon une cicle concomitente, seulmant), les valeur qui ont un sens (desirable...!) decroissants et apres je deduis de la valeur constante (anterieur calcule) [ ’100 + IPG’] et j’obtiens (tres facile et vite / by mental way...) la valeur de la prestation dans l’eau.

Asa ca de data aceasta eu incerc sa iau legatura si, imi pare rau de tine... ve-i avea mult de muncit.., glumesc; oricare va fi reactia ta fata de cele ce urmeaza, te asigur de admiratia mea pentru voi...

 de multa vremea eu doresc sa pot comunica cu tine. Eu am tot amanat aceasta intalnire virtuala din cauza ca vorbesc slab, sarac limba engleza [eu si acum folosesc Google translate...]; Eu nu stiu cum sa incep, eu am impresia ca, uneori, tu si eu, amandoi, 'vorbim cam aceasi limba'.....

Astfel eu am formulat ceea ce s-a numit, aici in Romania, Conceptul BEST [ acronimul expresiei 'the Biomechanical Effciency Swimmming Test']; conceptul a fost publicat in revista noastra de specialitate numita 'EFS, nr.2/ 1983’,
Eu incerc , pe scurt, a ti-l prezenta :
Conceptul provine din intelepciunea unui antic aforism ["festina lente”, Suetonius], care in cazul inotului putea capata o intelegere similara si chiar autentica = "grabeste-te .....incet".
Asta insemna ca cel care dorea sa concureze gandindu-se la acest slogan [ incearca sa te grabesti... dar vaslind mai rar] trebuia sa aibe obligatoriu, cea mai buna, cea mai corecta si cea mai eficienta tehnica de inot pentru a inota bine -cat mai repede dar cu cat mai putine vasliri.
Formula este foarte simpla, este un simplu calcul mental:* ‘aduni numarul de secunde realizat pe o distanta data... cu numarul de vasliri’ si valoarea rezultata o scazi dintr-o valoare permanenta, constanta ‘ {{BEST = PIG – (Time + Stroke)}..., de obicei pe 50m !
**[PIG este o valoare constanta, ea  nu reprezinta altceva decat esenta biotipului fiecarui inotator, a carei valoare poate fi calculata, verificata, anual, ea este deci o constanta, personala - un Indice personal de alunecare, pe scurt PIG].
PIG este necesar deci pentru a arspunde la cerinta de personalizare a fiecarui  inotator, deaorece exista diferite tipuri de effcienta cauzate si de biotipuri diferite ale fiecarui inotator [PIG poate fi considerat a fi constant + unic, personal si eu propuneam sa fie verificat anual]
***[De ex.: PIG-ul imi permitea mie, la concurs,  sa aleg ‘inotatori egali’, cu valori apropiate, pentru a concura  ‘de la egal – la egal’ in perfect spirit de ‘faire-play’.
 [**** Calculul PIG - se face dupa formula: din Lungimea totala a unui inotator intins in pozitie de inot, in pozitia intinsa de plutire ventrala...., scad suma realizata daca adun numarul de kilograme /Kg. plus circumferinta sub axilara [masurata in cm., ca la croitor/Q], deci =  PIG = L –(Kg.+Q) / verificata anual !
In anii aceia, celor mai multi antrenori li s-a parut o ideia extravaganta, din domeniul SF, si aveau dreptate - nimeni nu credea ca numarul de miscari poate fi sigur garantat; a numara mental, ‘ceva’, este un proces subiectiv iar formula BEST presupunea un calcul matematic [ este adevart ca era simplu dar se baza pe cifre exacte, neshimbate].
In ‘disperare de cauza’..., am trimis emailuri [mai ales atunci cand a aparut Internetul...] la TOTI cei care avea ceva comun cu inotul; a fost o perioada in care ma simteam caraghios si chiar eu radeam de mine....
Dar deoadata, am simtit, ca ‘ceva se misca’; mai ales dupa ce am cititi lucrarea, cartea lui Emmmet Hines (1995), Dick Hannulla (1995) si, mai ales, a lui  Ernest Maglischo (1999); ‘lumea inotului’ incepea sa ia in  seama, independent de mine,  ceea ce eu preconizasem cu cca 15-20 inainte, si asta m-a bucurat foarte mult .
Dar cea mai mare surpriza a fost ziua cand un elev de-al meu, un ing. IT de clasa..., mi-a adus linkul lui PoolMate/Swimovate, un produs care realiza obiectiv, exact ceea ce mie mi se parea SF in anii ’80.
Imediat am cumparat un asemenea produs si, experimentandu-l, am tot comunicat cu Doamna Lisa Irlam/pdg la Swimnovate, relatandu-i absoluta nevoie ca PoolMate sa poate inregistra, separat, numarul de strokes, separat la fiecare oprire [cazul antrenamentului cu intervale]. Si iata ca Lisa, probabil, a tinut cont de sugestiile mele iar astazi Swimovate poate oferi o gama de 4-5 noi produse PollMate care sunt pe masura asteptarilor fiecaruia antrenor, a fiecarui sportiv inotator.
Inchei, evocand, interviul oferit de tine ‘Bob Bowman si Michael Phelps’ in care, prezentati, pe capitole, pregatirea marelui tau sportiv. Ma refer la partea numita ‘Stroke and Time’ si acest capitol m-a facut sa cred ca, iata, noi doi, avem ‘ceva’ in comun, in gandirea noastra despre inot. Este cert ca tu nu-i permiti lui ichael sa inoate la intamplare ci cu un tempo exact si perfectibil pentru a putea accelera, nu din cresterea numarului de avsliri ci din cresterea eficientei tehnice, a Fortei, la fiecare noua vaslire.
Te rog sa ma ierti ca am fost asa de analitic si poate greu de inteles... dar, pentru mine, Conceptul BEST si tot ce se leaga de el, este ‘evrika’ vietii mele si asa cum Arhimede a iesit din cada de baie si a alergat gol-pusca strigand ‘evrika’ si eu as iesi ca el, strigand “Bob este prietenul meu...!”

The need to test the efficiency of the swimmer’s movements was generated by the endeavour (1970-1980) of our coaches to find the most appropriate methodical way ın order to form young swimmers, an endeavour which started from these undoubted facts:
1. the spectacular rising of “wonder children” because of the speculations upon the “early specialization” and forced training, especially at swimming.
2. the usage of a selection base strictly on de facto performance, without taking into consideration the future modifications of the biological motor and functional balance.
3. the early rejection from the selection arena of other children and the massive loss of new elements.
4. the deviation from the performance prognosis of “wonder children” when they became adults. The deviation was negative – “wonder children” did not confirm!
Evidently, between 1970-80 it has been worked in “detriment” and some of the coaches even asked that children swimming training should contain “beauty” contest, something hard to be accepted.
As a federal coach (1982) I have tried to redirect the methodological content of children training:
I wanted a greater mass of children to be interested in sports swimming,
I wanted them to swim in the most correct way,
I wanted all these without forcing them;
By time, this new concept came up; he was published oficially began from 1983, in Revists / Magasine E.F.S. [1983/3, 1987/2] or other publications [ see bibliography].
At a special moment, apart from the beauty contests proposed by the coaches, I start looking for objective, mathematical information; in everyone’s conscience the chronometer is an undoubted source of information; but performance has some other elements too: tempo, technique and organism function, etc.
From all of these the easiest to control is the tempo, that is the number of movements per space or time unit. With these 2 elements (chronometer and tempo) one could have done larger evaluations, because you can not win with a hard (+ tiring) tempo and when the ones with moderate tempos won, this was reached by a perfect technique. This is why they were efficient!
Slow tempo/high speed – this is what we need for a future athlete
Under these circumstances a new concept has shown up and by time it got bigger (it is applicable not only to beginners but to other categories also, especially “Masters”) and because the acronym of the title in English was BEST I have adopted this name BEST Concept ( Biomechanical Efficiency Swimming Test )

Tehnica corecta inseamna eficienta de miscare in apa… “testarea eficientei biomecanice la inot”(BEST) se calculeaza astfel: adun ‘timpul’(‘t’) cu ‘vaslirile’(‘v’) suma lor o scad dintr-o valoare constanta (‘k’)(aleasa aleator = ‘100’) + indicele personal de alunecare (ipa). adica - { 100+ipa } – { timp + vasliri } = ...... p.best

F1/ La tehnique corecte de la nage implique l’efficience du mouvement dans l’eau.
’’Tester l’efficience / l’efficacite biomecanique dans l’eau’’ [ The Biomechanical Efficiency Swimming Test – B.E.S.T. ....] ce calcule comme suit:
- aditioner le temps (’T’) au les mouvement (par 50m) (’M’), la somme se deduit d’une valeur constante (’K’)[choisie aleatoire, par ex. = 100 point] + l’Indice Personel de Glisse (I.P.G.) c’este a dire, la formule: [100 + IPG ] – [ ’T’ + ’M’] = ... offre le meilleur resultat, (points BEST).

F2/ La logique du BEST et son objectivite:
J’additionne deux valeurs, deux quantites , le temps T. et le mouvement M. (des cicles de bras – pour Libre et pour le Dos 2 bras alternative, pour Brasse et pour Papillon une cicle concomitente, seulmant), les valeur qui ont un sens (desirable...!) decroissants et apres je deduis de la valeur constante (anterieur calcule) [ ’100 + IPG’] et j’obtiens (tres facile et vite / by mental way...) la valeur de la prestation dans l’eau.

E2/The objectivity of the ‘best formula’ results from this new exercise of logic: ‘we add two value (time+stroke), this values have their sense descendent (!)…, and, after we substrate this sum from one constant value (accidentally (k) = 100 + ipg points)’.

D2/ Die Objektivität des Konzeptes und der Formel „b.e.s.t.” baut auf die folgende Logik auf: „ wir addieren zwei Gröβen, (Zeit + Züge), die einen absteigenden Sinn verzeichnen. F3/ L’indice de la Glisse dans l’eau (IPG) este une valeur constante, comme un card banquare, qui le calcule annuellement:
’L.’ + (encore une ’K’ de 100 points, aleatoire...!) la somme se deduit d’une autre somme resulte par addition de ’Kgr.’ + ’Q.’, c’est a dire:
[ L. + (K) ] – [ Kgr. + Q ] = la valeur anuelle plus constante de IPG en points....
’L.’ – longuer maximale du corp entierre
(la possision fondamentale de nage - planche de flotation du corp sur le ventre ou sur le dos verrifie sur terrre);
(k) – une ciffre constante, aleatoire, d’une valeur de 100 points;
’Kgr.’ - Kilogrames du corp, sur terre;
’Q.’ – le diametre en cm. de la cage thoracique en expir profonde, et le resultat de cette formule que l’on nomme – Indice Personel de Glisse (IPG) dans l’eau, avec ses point et d’une valeur constante, annuelle.

E3/ The index personal of gliding (ipg) is lake a ‘credit card’ (the validity is minimum one year): with this ipg we can organize the series of the race in perfect ‘faire-play’ (indifferent of the sex or age) the competitors with same or appropriate values will be introduce in the same series …the periodical calcul of this ipg formula is found with regarding to the hydrodynamics principle (reynolds+froude),

D3/ 'Der persönliche Gleitindex” (p.g.i./ ist wie eine Kreditkarte, die 1 Jahr gültig ist (kard-annual)). „L” = die maximale Körperlänge / ventral float position; „k” = eine Konstante mit dem Wert von 100 Punkten; „kgr” = das Gewicht in Kilogramm / + „Q” = Durchmesser/cm des oberen Brustkorbabschnittes bei tiefer Ausatmung

R4/ aplicabilitatea ‘annual kard-(ului)’(ipg – index of personal gliding ), indiferent de sex si chiar de varsta subiectilor…, este data de faptul ca criteriile alese, pentru folosirea sa ca instrument de departajare / organizare a intrecerilor de inot sportiv , sunt cele induse in selectia naturala:
# cu cat un corp este mai lung (l.),
# cu cat un corp este mai usor, (gr.)
# cu cat un corp este mai ingust (q.)
cu atat mai eficient pluteste, aluneca sau inainteaza !

F4/ L’application (calculation) annuelle du kard IPG –non peliee du sex, genne, et de l’age du suject (!), sont donnes comme une unique critere pour departager / organiser les eventuellle competitions (des series avec une real ’fraire-play’) de concurs de ’excelence tehnique de nage’ par 50m, car ce sont les criteres induits par la selection naturelle:
- plus que le corp est long .....
- plus que le corp est leger....
- plus que le corp est etroit ....
cet corp peut glisse et avance plus bien, plus efficace !

E4/The valability of the index personal of gliding (ipg) results from that – all criteria selected to make the series for the challenge was selected from the normal natural selection:
when the longer of the body is big…
when the weight of the body is light...
when the frontal section of the body is small
the float, the gliding and the swimming speed will be more efficiency to advance better with one correct technique !

D4/ Die Gültigkeit des „kard-annual” (pgi – persönlicher Gleitindex), unabhängig von Geschlecht oder Alter der Angewiesenen..., ist darauf zurückzuführen: die Kriterien, die ausgewählt wurden, um zu bestimmen, inwiefern die „annual kard” als Instrument zur Unterscheidung von Leistungen oder Veranstaltung von Schwimm-Wettkämpfen verwendet werden kann, gehen auf die natürliche Auswahl zurück:
je länger ein Körper ist (l.),
je leichter ein Körper ist (kgr),
je schmaler ein Körper ist (q.),
desto effizienter wird er schwimmen, gleiten oder sich im Wasser fortbewegen.

** The numbering of rowing cycles can be made by visual inspection or with a mechanical/electronic(?) counter that could avoid the errors (see Swimmnovate/PoolMate, FINIS - watch counter, Polar F14).

*** Die Zählung der Ruderungsabläufe kann frei (visuell) durchgeführt werden oder mit Hilfe eines mechanischen/elektronischen (?) ‘counter’s, der die Kopfzählung vereinfachen soll und mögliche Fehler vermeiden soll (Varianten - Swimmnovate/PoolMate, FINIS - watch counter, Polar F14).

Preambul la conceptul BEST

Nevoia de a testa eficienta miscarilor inotatorului a fost generata de framantarile antrenorilor nostri (1970-80) de a gasi calea metodica cea mai indicata pentru formarea tinerilor inotatori, framantari care au pornit de la urmatoarele fapte de necontestat:
1. aparitia spectaculoasa a‚’’copiilor minune’’ datorita specularii conceptului de ’’specializare timpurie’’, fortarea pregatirii mai ales la inot.
2. aplicarea unei selectii strict legate de performanta de facto, fara a lua in consideratie viitoarele modificari ale echilibrului bio-motrico-functional.
3. respingerea de timpuriu din aria de selectie a altor copii, piederi masive de noi elemente.
4. abaterea de la prognozarea performantelor a ’’copiilor minune’’ in momentul devenirii lor adulte, abateri finale negative –’’copii minune’’ nu au confirmat !
Evident, intre anii 1970-80 s-a lucrat in ’’paguba’’ iar unii dintre antrenori au cerut chiar, ca pregatirea copiilor sa fie incununata de concursuri de ’’frumusete’’ la inot, maniera greu de acceptat.
Ajuns in functia de antrenor federal (1982) am incercat sa reorientez continutul metodic al pregatirii copiilor:
doream o masa mai mare de copii interesati de inotul sportiv,
doream ca acestia sa inoate cat mai corect,
doream toate aceste fara a-i forta;
treptat s-a conturat si acest nou concept, publicat pentru prima data incepand din 1983, in Revistele EFS [1983/3, 1987/2] sau alte publicatii oficiale.
Ca orice lucru nou, el nu a fost acceptat (nu este acceptat nici acum...) de cei mai multi antrenori iar cei care il sprijineau o faceau din motive subiective, din simpatie, fara a sti ca aplicarea noului cerea un nivel adecvat de profesionalism si mai ales de o munca migaloasa speciala
Fata de concursurile de frumusete propuse la un moment dat, de antrenori, eu am cautat date obiective, matamatice; in constiinta orisicui cronometrul reprezinta o sursa de informatii de necontestat; dar performanta are in spatele ei si alte elemente: tempoul, tehnica si functiunea organismului, s.a.m.d.
Dintre toate acestea cel mai usor de controlat este tempoul, adica numarul de miscari pe unitate de spatiu sau de timp. Cu aceste 2 elemente (cronometrul si tempoul) se putea face aprecieri mai ample, deoarecere nu toti castiga adoptand un tempo navalnic (+obositor) iar cei cu tempo mai moderat cand au castigat, intotdeauna au facut-o cu o tehnica impecabila. De aici si eficienta lor !

In aceste conditii a aparut noul concept, devenit treptat mai amplu (aplicabil nu numai la incepatori ci si la alte categorii, mai ales la veteranii ’’Masters’’) iar pentru ca acronimul in engleza a titlului era BEST .... am adoptat numele – Conceptul BEST ( Biomechanical Efficiency Swimming Test )

Mircea Olaru Aviz amatorilor; de cca 2 ani ma tot strofocesc sa republic aceasta lucrare. Eu cred ca este o lucrare serioasa si chiar bine muncita... dar zecile de emaliluri la firme avizate [Dedeman-'sponsor al sportului romanesc', Decathlon s.a.] nu au avut nici un fel de efect; doar in aceste conditii am ajuns s-o pun 'la vanzare', facand reclama platita pe FB si Mercador etc...., cine este interesat, poate s-o aibe.Dorinta mea era ca ziarul Libertatea, care atasheaza frecvent la unele editii diverse carti si chiar jucarii, s-o fi preluat si asa ajungea in mainile multora;n-o fost sa fie asa ca 'Libertatea' are planul de asemenea aparitii facut..., cica hat pentru 2 ani... no mai comment; ma voi transforma eu in copiator de CD/DVD-uri si expedietor postal/ramburs si cine o vrea poate s-o aiba, este adevarat in format electronic dar cu toate cele aparute in editia din 2007, editie realizat in putine exemplare gratie unui sponsor de neuitat -Dl. Ing.Eugen Haiduc managerul de la 'Infoturism' SA. caruia ii multumesc si pe aceasta cale [asa oameni mai rar...]....

Lucrarea consta dintr-o brosura, color (1/2 A4) de 32 pag / ultima coperta este propice pentru publicitate dar si unele pagini de interior....; broshura este anvelopata iar in interior se afla un CD/DVD cu lucrarea propiu-zisa + 4 postere(1/1A4) cu tehnica corecta de inot sportiv.
 Lucrarea este asteptata de publicul larg avand in vedere faptul ca din 1987 acest subiect nu a mai fost prezent in librarii + se apropie vara, sezonul cald si deverul ar creste.

Difuzarea a cca 2-3.000 de exemplare ar putea fi preluata fie de un ziar (atashata la tirajul acestuia) fie distribuire prin Posta/Rambus, celor care vor afla despre ea.  sau cf. strategiei dv.

Lucrarea este o mica enciclopedie a inotului si astfel se ating majoritatea problemelor legate de invatare, perfectionare, antrenament, concurs, teorie, istoric si anexe, cca 243 pg. A4pe un CD /700MB, etc.

Crampele muschilor (Cârceii)

Crampele muschilor de la picioare reprezinta o sursa de disconfort pentru multe persoane, in special pentru femeile care au intrat la menopauza dar si pentru unii sportivi de performanta. Exista însa un remediu, ciudat, inexplicabil, dar verificat.
El consta in ciupirea buzei superioare, aceasta tehnica dovedindu-se eficienta in 90% dintre cazuri, conform ThirdAge.com.
Metoda, descoperita de Milton F. Allen, suferind cronic de spasme musculare, este simplitatea intruchipata.
La primul semn de crampe musculare, ciupeste zona dintre buza superioara si nas, mentinand aceasta presiune constanta timp de 30 de secunde si chiar mai mult daca este necesar.
Durerea ar trebui sa dispara si muschii sa se relaxeze la cateva secunde de la ciupitura. Desi medicii nu-si pot explica motivul pentru care tehnica are efect, ei sunt nevoiti sa accepte faptul ca functioneaza.
Iar eficacitatea ei e confirmata de atletii profesionisti si de antrenorii lor.

 Nu cunosc secretul  succesului in viata, dar cunosc reteta esecului:
 Sa incerci sa multumesti pe toata lumea !

A personaliza , personalizare

Ca sa nu gresesc, am cautat pe web definitia de mai sus; cuvantul  personaliza, ’m-o lovit’...., ieri, cand pe DIGI Life, se tranmitea un documentar incitant: un englez cauta ’tineretea vesnica’ si asa a ajuns si la enuntarea ideii ca [alaturi de dieta...], Miscarea, cu toate formele ei, este importanta tare..., doar ca acolo se vorbea asa de convingator despre factorii Genetici si despre ADN-ul fiecaruia versus ’efort’,  incat termenul  ’a personaliza’, cum spuneam..., ’m-o lovit’.



In fond, tot ce facem noi, antrenorii, mai bine sau mai putin..., este o continua personalizare, individualizare si daca vreti – o personificare [... prin numarul de medalii, prin enuntarea statistica a datelor performantei/proba, timp, clasament, de ex.], a potentialului sportivului nostru.



Iar el sportivul inseamna, pana la urma..., VIATZA si aici se potriveste zicala veche ’omul cat traieste – invata !’
--invata sa inoate,

--invata sa-si dezvolte simtul apei [eu zic ca inca unul, al 6-lea – unul tare misterios pe langa cele 5 stiute/ văzul, auzul, mirosul, gustul şi simţul tactil, cf. Aristotel], 
* evocarea celor 5 simturi,separat, este veche [Aritotel], dar acum se poate vb. ds. un al 6-lea simt, un fel de cocktail al celor 5 fiind vb. ds. un 'simt profesional'[cantatul la un instrument, a unei dexteritati, a unui sport ['simtul apei' la inot]. etc.; fara acest 'cocktail' eficienta, acuraeteta prestatiei lasa de dorit !

 --invata as dezvolta o suita de calitati motrice pentru a rezista oboselii cauzate de efortul din antrenament,

--invata sa fie sigur pe ceea ce face el in timpul concursului..., dece nu, vine vremea cand ...

--invata sa renunte la tot ce-a invatat pentru formarea ’personalizata’ a acestui  ’al 6’-lea simt, obsedant, multi ani din viata sa de sportiv.



Revenind la nevoia de a fi si practici..., specialistii momentului, din UK,  consacrati pe acest subiect [adica ’personalizarea speciala a unor functii bio, implicate in efort’] au experimentat 2 mari extreme ale pregatirii organismului: efortul aerob /’steady-state’ [VO2 max.], care presupune efort de Anduranta, facut mult timp si de multe ori... +  efortul anaerob maximal, epuizant, care presupune un ’cocktayl’ de Forta+Viteza, de scurta durata, repetabil de mai putine ori ...;



Si iata constatatrile acestor specialisti – pentru a repara, reface functiile organismului implicat in efort [si viata traita este tot un asemenea efort / a nu se uita zicala ’omul cat traieste invata’...], adica  pan la urma urmei , a ’vietii’ celulelor care, ele, sunt responsabile, ca baza a tuturor functiunilor bio..., este mai bine sa facem uz de cel de-al 2-lea experiment, cel cu Efortul anaerob maximal; primul experiment , cel de Anduranta,  avut rezultate mai slabe in testarea functionarii bio a organimului, adica a repararii, a refacerii functiunilor celulelor implicate, afectate de efort .....; pare  tare ciudat, dar testele au arata clar ca cele 11 gene ale ADN-ului fiecaruia dintre noi, gene responsabile cu capacitatea de a executa eforturi deosebit de mari [iar noi stim ce inseamna asta...], sunt  responsabile, procentual, diferentiat si deci genetic programate, dar si posibil a fi modificate.... de posibilitatea de a face 'performanta au ba', in fata oboselii induse de efort.



Asa se explica folosirea termenului de personalizare a efortului....; pentru asta cred ca este nevoie ca in fiecare echipa de performeri sa existe un doctor genetician care, cu ajutorul unor teste bio, stiintifice(!), sa poata spune cert: ” asta e bun de performanta sau nu”...; la fel, tot acest doctor, poate sa faca precizari pertinente despre continutul, despre prezenta, procentuala si periodizarea formelor principale de efort din antrenament [mezo-ciclu calendaristic, ciclul saptamanal, micro-ciclu saptamanal, etc.].



Vreau sa va spun ceva: chiar de la debutul meu ca antrenor, din motive absolut intamplatoare [ apare aici si acel dram de noroc...], motive legate de, mai precis, de organizare [nu aveam spatiu de lucru in bazinul arhipopulat de la Floreasca] eu am fost nevoit sa aplic, empiric dar si benefic, recomandarea de a folosi efortul anaerob de tip maximal [evident dozat al varsta subiectilor sila stagiul lor de pregatire/incepatori].



Si mie mi-a reusit pregatirea; la scurt timp m-am trezit cu ’boboceii mei’ ca ii cam intreceau pe cei cu state mai vechi si de la, evident, antrenori cu state mai vechi{de atunci am avut parte mereu de o mare colegialitate in bazin ....}; metoda mea a fost numita de altii [nu de mine] ’metoda concomitenta’ si consta in faptul  de a inota, pe latimea bazinului, sumedenii de exercitii, derivate din tehnica celor 4 procedee  sportive si nu numai ...



Staful federatiei de atunci [printre care si un Valentin Constandache, prof. EFS, cu studii  la Moskova..., cel care cu cca 5 ani inainte mi-a dat ’pass’-ul din sport pe motive de 'origine sociala nesanatoasa'..] a hotarat repede ca ’metoda minune’ sa fie aplicata cu toti copii incepatori din Floreasca, indiferent de club... si culmea ridichii ...., lectiile trebuiau conduse de subsemnatul, care am cerut microfon si statie de radio, si asa se desfasurau lectiile...; sarmanii mei coelgi, plini de colegialitate..., stateau in tribune si ’luau lectii’.., pana cand, cel mai apropiat coleg chiar de clubul meu, a descoperit  ’originea’ si asa s-o terminat  ’experimentul concomitent’..., hihuhoha .....



Dece va scriu toate acestea.... ? Deoarece, recent am aflat de niste rezultate, actuale a unor incepatori, din tara, buni inotatori; unii dintre ei inoata, aproximativ, cam aceleas rezultate pe care exact acum 50 de ani le realizau fostii mei bobocei si nu numai ei ....



 50 de ani..., in care multe generatii au fost pierdute inremediabil pentru ce..? Va spun eu pentru ce: pentru ca, tot colegii aceia, plini de colegialitate..., au crezut ca daca ’olaru face minuni cu sprinturile lui’, asta putem face si noi... dar bazinul nefiind apt de a proceda ca mine [ antrenament pe latime] au folosit sprinturile... exact – pe lungime; si asa, copii au fost, mereu, fortati, asa au aparut antrenori meteoriti .., dar dupa 3-4 ani, vedetele dispareau fiind 'prajite la foc prea mare', asa am pierdut sumedenie de talente, uf ...



Inchei ’naduful’ meu:



Ce sfat dau eu, om de aproape 80 de ani..., antrenorilor tineri: formati-va un simt, un fler aparte de a depista autentic ,deloc subiectiv sau financiar....,elevii de perspectiva(1), lucrati cu ei cu grija [ era sa scriu cu ’mila’] si folositi ceea ce am expus eu la inceputul materialului.(2)



Punctual asa as face : intr-un ciclu saptamanal, 3 zile diferite de antrenament cu eforturi anaerobe maximale [evident dupa o buna incalzire si o parte de pregatire temeinica pe uscat(!) in acea zi] iar restul de zile inotati aproape de regimul compensator si chiar distractiv/tehnica... si sa nu uitati: sa aveti MULTI copii in bazin [de max. 9-10 ani si mai mici] si, periodic [interval de cca 3-6 luni] trimite-tii acasa, sa nu vada apa si sa nu auda comenzile voastre [in terminologia mea asta se numeste ’intreruepre dirijata’, asa va veti dubla efectivele de incepatori si veti avea surpriza ca atunci cnad vor reveni – vor inota mult mai bine, peste asteptari !].



Iata niste argumente:  asa au facut si adevaratii [ de ex.] si regret s-o spun.. uitatii nostri colegi, Dimeca si Gothe, ambii plecati mult prea devreme dintre noi si ceea ce-i mai grav, 'au luat cu ei' si experienta lor, practic nimeni nu stie cum a castigat Dimeca [era poreclit 'don zilberman'...] 7 medalii de argint la Viena in 1981 dupa ce in ’79 a debutat Centrul Baia Mare sau, cum a lucrat Tamara cu Michy Gothe [pentru care ma luptam cu sefii pt. un cantonament la Font Romeo etc.,] pentru a realiza primul si singurul nostru record mondial de inot [Michy, imi spunea, la Neptun, intr-o tabara de primavara, prin anii ’80 ..., aratandu-mi o fatuca...’’ sa stii ca asta va fi prima noastra inotatoare detinatoare de record mondial” si asa a fost, recodul a aparut dupa 5-6 ani...]



Ca tot este 1 Mai si e Sarbatoarea Muncii..., eu va doresc succes si mai tineti cont si de cei din grupa mica de la varsta a  treia ...

Nu-i nevoie sa fie pe numele meu, poa' sa fie si pe ala a lu’ Mladin Octavian/Cluj, sau sunt unii uitati pe la Arad, Timisoara, Resitza, Pitesti sau Sibiu, dece nu si la Offenbach, la Mircea Hohoiu sau la inotatoarea lui Macineanu ..., din Francia, e de origine romana / apropos - Sibiul/ baia comunala, era locul unde se antrenau iarna, generatia de dinainte de anii 50, unde Titus Groza si Bubsi Novak au fost primii romani care au reusit sa faca ceea ce facuse, in 1922, la Alameda/USA, tot un timisoeran - Johnny Weissmuler]. Hai noroc !
